From Financial Advisor to
Bookkeeping Professional
In 2018, I graduated from Widener University after completing a 4+1 program. I earned my Master’s in Tax and Financial Planning. I then worked as a financial analyst at a large RIA firm in Philadelphia for three years. While there, I worked with my manager, who provided advice to high net worth individuals.
Looking for a more client-facing role, I left for a small RIA firm working as a financial advisor. In this role, I created financial plans and participated in client meetings. After a year and a half, I was laid-off. I decided to use this as an opportunity to change careers and start my own business.
I am now a bookkeeping professional and I continue to be a CFP® professional. I am the owner of Propeller Bookkeeping, LLC. I serve financial advisors and the skilled trades industries in a virtual environment. To me, bookkeeping is more straightforward. It better aligns with how I naturally think.
Personally...
I love karate. I did it as a kid for 10 years. I made it to first degree black belt in kenpo karate and stopped when I went to college. I started an adult martial arts program at another school (still kenpo) in November of 2021. As of this writing, I am two-thirds of the way to achieving the rank of black belt again.
I took jiu-jitsu lessons at my karate dojo for a few months until the instructor teaching them left. As much as I love karate, I like jiu-jitsu just as much, if not more. I am interested in practicing jiu-jitsu again but need people to train with. If you are interested and in the Philly area, please let me know.
I live in center city Philly with my husband. I love cats but we don’t have any because of allergies in the family. I’ve always wanted to use my math skills to help people. I will first use the money I make for myself, including the health of my business. I will then use the money to help low-income people in the Philly area.

My Credentials
Bookkeeper Launch has taught thousands of people how to run a virtual bookkeeping business. The program teaches bookkeeping skills, as well as how to start and grow your own business. I completed the coursework in July of 2023. I have lifetime access to the program and will get updates as they are made available. I am a part of the Facebook community. The community is used for networking and helping one another out.
The bookkeeping software I use is QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks is owned by Intuit. It is a helpful tool for small businesses to maintain their books. I am a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. I have my own login that I use to work on your books.
The CFP Board issues the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. This designation represents the standard for financial professionals. The CFP Board aims to ensure the public has access to competent and ethical financial planning.
